Thank you to the 410 community members who took the time to complete our Parent Communication Survey! This was a wonderful response rate that provides valuable insight into what is working well and where we can make improvements to keep our families informed, connected, and engaged in their children's education.

Overall, the results were very encouraging. More than 83% of respondents reported feeling informed by district and school communications, with email remaining the preferred method for school notifications. At the same time, your comments highlighted opportunities to make information easier to find, improve website navigation, provide more consistent updates, and offer greater insight into what students are learning in the classroom.

We are already using your feedback to guide our next steps. Some of the areas we are working on include:

  • Curriculum Updates: Providing families with additional information about what students are learning and the activities taking place throughout our schools.

  • More streamlined communication: When applicable, reduce the number of links in emails sent home. Make communications as clear, concise, and easy to understand as possible, with accessibility and clarity in mind.

  • Consistent, predictable Two-Way communication: Increase use and education on Rooms, our district-provided two-way communication tool.

  • Clearer communication protocols: Helping families better understand where to find different types of information and which communication platforms are used for specific purposes. Mrs. Scamell will send informational videos on how to navigate the website.

  • Improved website navigation: Making important information easier to find and reducing the steps needed to get what you need.

The attached infographic highlights key survey results and several of the areas we are prioritizing in response to your feedback.

We recognize that effective communication is an ongoing partnership between our schools and families. While we are pleased with the positive feedback, we also understand that there is always room to grow. We are committed to listening, learning, and making thoughtful improvements that strengthen our school community.

If you have questions about district communications or need help finding information, please email family@nhp-gcp.org. We are always happy to help!

Thank you again for your continued partnership and for helping us make NHP-GCP an even stronger, more connected community for our students and families.
