To introduce students to a wide range of career opportunities and inspire them to explore future professions, New Hyde Park Road School hosted its first Career Day on June 17.
The day began with an exciting demonstration by the Nassau County Police Department’s Aviation Unit, which flew a helicopter above the school, giving students a firsthand look at this specialized field.
Throughout the day, classes rotated through interactive sessions with professionals from a variety of industries, learning about their daily responsibilities and experiences in the workforce. Featured professions included law enforcement, government service, nursing, law, real estate, dentistry, and the NCPD’s canine and mounted horse units.
