On June 12, Manor Oaks School hosted its fourth annual Sharpen the Saw Day, inviting students in grades K-6 to discover new interests, develop skills and explore hobbies through a variety of workshops held throughout the school day.
Sharpen the Saw is one of the seven habits outlined in Sean Covey’s “7 Habits of Happy Kids” and encourages students to nurture their physical, mental social-emotional and spiritual well-being.
Students had the opportunity to choose from 21 engaging workshops, including Bowling Fun, Dirt Dessert, Space Escape, Creative Cooking, Mindfulness in the Sky: The Magic of Kite Flying, Slime Lab, Cartoon Drawing, Lego Lovers and Henna Art.
Designed to spark curiosity and creativity, the sessions promoted mindfulness, teamwork, physical activity and hands-on learning, giving students a fun and meaningful way to grow both inside and outside the classroom.
