New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Union Free School District is proud to announce that four students excelled in the WordMasters Challenge, a national vocabulary competition with nearly 125,000 participants. This challenge encourages students in grades 3-8 to learn advanced vocabulary and solve analogies, helping them develop both analytical and creative-thinking skills.
New Hyde Park Road School sixth grader Alexa Azarcon was among only 53 sixth graders nationwide to earn a perfect score of 20. Additionally, Manor Oaks School fifth grader Raina Matter, Road School sixth grader Aanvi Patel and Garden City Park School sixth grader Johan Prasad earned top results.
The team is coached by Odyssey Enrichment teacher Dominique Dunn.
