New Hyde Park Road School sixth grader Alex Lian achieved a perfect score in this year’s Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools competition, successfully solving all 25 challenging problems across the program’s five-month international contest series.

Competing against approximately 120,000 students from 39 countries, Lian ranks among the elite less than one percent of participants who answered every question correctly.

In recognition of this exceptional achievement, Lian will receive the prestigious Dr. George Lenchner Medallion, the highest individual honor awarded by the program. His flawless performance reflects the dedication and academic excellence fostered through the district’s Mathletes program.
