The district is pleased to announce that Michaela Paduano has been appointed as assistant principal at Manor Oaks School and New Hyde Park Road School.
Paduano has over 15 years of experience in education, with roles in staff development, Multi-Tiered System of Support, and both special and general education. Most recently, she served as a staff developer for PS 22 Q, The Thomas Jefferson School, in Flushing. While there, she contributed to schoolwide improvement through comprehensive professional learning initiatives, provided individualized teacher support and played a vital role in the rollout of new programs, including HMH Into Reading, Building Reading Success with Wiley Blevins and decodable texts.
Looking ahead to her time in NHP-GCP, Paduano is eager to contribute to a positive and effective school environment, fostering academic excellence and student well-being.
She holds a bachelor’s in childhood education from Long Island University, a master’s in special education from Long Island University and an advanced graduate certificate in Educational Leadership: School Building and District Leadership from Stony Brook University.
