Manor Oaks School recently welcomed local author Angela O’Hoppe for a meaningful read-aloud assembly. Her children’s book, “If You Choose to Believe Them,” shares the inspiring story of her son, Logan O'Hoppe of the Los Angeles Angels. The book centers on overcoming doubt, believing in yourself, and achieving your dreams with confidence and the support of others.
Following the reading, students were thrilled by a surprise appearance from Logan himself, who joined his mother on stage to an enthusiastic welcome. The assembly concluded with a Q&A session, where students asked thoughtful questions such as, “What is your favorite part of writing?” and “How did you choose your illustrator?”
The event reflected the school’s commitment to promoting positive behavior and kindness through its Upstander Program.
