Garden City Park School hosted a multicultural week from March 9-13. Organized by the school’s Multicultural Committee, this event is held each year at the school to celebrate different cultures around the world.
Throughout the week, classes made culture cards to hang in the hallway, saw a Russian dance during an assembly, worked on country projects, dressed in multicultural attire and participated in a talent show.
In Jaqueline Cipolla’s second grade class, the students celebrated multicultural week with an in-class food festival on March 12. Students enjoyed trying samosas, pierogis, rice and beans, and meatballs.
The students at Garden City Park School had a great time learning about different cultures!
