New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District is comprised of four elementary schools. Each of our schools houses grades kindergarten through grade six, with approximately 1,700 students in our district. We also host 72 students in Universal Pre-Kindergarten. Located on Long Island in New York, the district is at the gateway to Nassau County and has a long and accomplished history and bright future.
Mission Statement: The New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District is committed to developing the academic, social, and emotional skills necessary to become lifelong learners and contributory members in a diverse community.
Goals of the Board of Education for 2019-2020:
Develop a shared, systematic approach to explicitly teach, integrate, and encourage positive behaviors.
Ensure that all staff actively participate in professional development focused on inclusive and culturally proficient practices that improve learning and school cultures.
Implement and ensure high-quality, consistent curriculum and learning experiences within each grade span and across the district with an emphasis on communication, empathy, learner’s mindset, technology and media literacy, collaboration, and innovation*.
