Please be advised that the New Hyde Park – Garden City Park UFSD is scheduled to have the last day of student instruction on June 12, 2020.  Typically, lunch distribution ends on the last day of student instruction.  However, due to continued financial support from the state and federal governments, the district is able to offer grab and go lunch through and including June 30th.  The schedule for pick up will remain the same.  Mondays will be the pick-up day for three days’ worth of lunch and Thursdays will be the pick-up day for four days’ worth of lunch. The last date for lunch pickup will be Monday, June 29, 2020.  On that date, meals will be distributed for June 29 and June 30, 2020.  Distribution will cease after that date.  If you are in need of continued assistance regarding free lunch throughout the summer months, please call 1-866-3HUNGRY for guidance.

For the month of June, the meals will continue to be provided frozen with instructions regarding how to heat them up and can be obtained by coming to your child’s school.  Hours of operation will remain from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..  Please continue to bring a bag when picking up the meals.  

 

The tables will be set up at the following locations:

•  Garden City Park: North entrance in parking lot off of Central Ave.

•  Hillside Grade School:  Cafeteria entrance in parking lot off of Maple Dr. West.

•  Manor Oaks: East entrance of building on Manor Ct. South (currently where the program is located)

•  Road School: Cafeteria entrance on Park Ave.

 

Please continue to practice social distancing and follow all CDC recommendations when picking up lunches.
